Capital Heidi is by the late Hummer van het Bevrijdthof. Hummer was noted for natural technique, scope and rideability allied to a superb temperament. His sire, Cardento, won silver at both the World and European Championships and Olympic team silver in 2004; he was awarded Elite status on the strength of his offspring.

Heidi’s female line is equally impressive. Her dam, Capital Cyncinatie, is by Capital Colnardo. Behind Cyncinatie stands Al Italia, dam of four horses jumping on the circuit in Capital Callisto (1.20m), Capital Vegas (1.30m), Capital Cuba (1.35m) and Don di Stisce PDL.

Heidi is in foal to Capital’s Castello Z, by Chacco-Blue out of a Darco mare with Heartbreaker beneath. There is a deliberate piece of breeding here: Action Breaker, in Heidi’s own second generation, is a Heartbreaker son, so the foal is linebred to Heartbreaker, concentrating the technique and carefulness that line is known for, while Chacco-Blue adds modern type and temperament and Darco brings bravery and competitive will. This young mare is an exciting prospect alone, and her foal is even more so.
