Capital Chanella is a big grey mare of 170cm and a proven producer of Capital Keagan and Capital Karoona, from a family with a genuine top-level result: her granddam, Capital Unique, is the dam of Capital Don Castello, a 1.50m jumper.

Her sire, Capital Chicoletto Z, jumped 1.50m with a powerful jump and real care. He is by Cassini II, the younger full brother of Cassini I, sire of Cumano and Berlin, and his damline runs through Coronado to Rebel Z, a full brother to Ratina Z. Chanella’s damsire, Capital Capriccio, adds Cor de la Bryère, the sire who reshaped Holstein breeding, with Capitol I beneath and the 18b1 damline. Chanella’s page is therefore built almost entirely from stallions and mares who have themselves performed or produced at the highest level.

She is in foal to Capital’s Tandoori Pommex Z, by Tobago Z, the two-time Sires of the World winner who earned over 2.7 million Euros with Daniel Deusser. Tandoori’s dam, Evita van ‘t Zoggehof, jumped 1.60m; his second dam 1.50m; and his third dam is Fragance de Chalus, dam of Mylord Carthago. Crossing the Cassini and Ratina blood Chanella carries with the Fragance de Chalus family is a mating of two of the sport’s great dynasties to produce, what we expect to be, an exceptional foal.
