Capital Lullaby is a compact, correct grey out of a producing mare. Her dam, Capital Duet, has bred Capital Coverage and Capital Ryland, and behind her the family runs back through Capital Don Cumarco to Capital Ulior van het Wuitenshof, a stallion who adds refinement and rideability wherever he appears in these pedigrees. It is a family bred for temperament, trainability and talent.

Her sire is the well-known Capital Levubu, who is still actively competing in Europe, having recently finished third in the legendary Hickstead Derby. Levubu is by Cachas, an exceptional stallion who proved a top progenitor even after his sudden and tragic death in 2014; he was a highly modern and athletic horse noted for exceptional movement through his body, across the ground and over a fence.

Lullaby is in foal to Capital My Friend, by Nabab de Reve out of a Heartbreaker mare. The Heartbreaker damline supplies technique, so My Friend combines genuine scope from his sire with carefulness from his dam. Levubu’s scope on one side and Quidam and Heartbreaker blood on the other will produce a foal with frame, technique and the temperament that runs through both families. A sensible, well-matched lot for a breeder building quality and depth in their programme.
