Karamel’s dam, Capital Daniella, is by Capital Don Cumarco, the imported Belgian stallion who, under Nicole Horwood, became the first horse to win the South African Derby four times and took nearly every major national title. Don Cumarco is by Cumano, on whom Jos Lansink won the 2006 World Championship in Aachen. It is a dam side headed by one of South Africa’s true greats.
