Capital Florence is a son of Capital Figaro D’Isigny, and so carries the blood of Kannan close up. Kannan, by Voltaire, was a championship jumper and Grand Prix winner who has repeatedly topped the WBFSH sire ranking, taking Sire of the Year for jumping in 2024, and stands behind Olympic champions including Steve Guerdat’s Nino des Buissonnets. Figaro D’Isigny brings that quality into the Capital programme over the French mare Miloust d’Isigny.

Florence’s dam, Capital Cinnabon, is by Capital Colnardo, a son of the Holstein stallion Colman. Capital Colnardo himself jumped multiple 1.60m tracks with Jennifer Gates in the USA. His sire Colman is by the legendary Carthago, the Capitol I son who won Nations Cups at Aachen, Rotterdam and La Baule under Jos Lansink and became one of the most important sires of his era. It is a dam side rooted in proven Holstein jumping blood.

Under saddle, Florence is bold and capable, a sharp, athletic horse who thrives on consistent training and forms a strong partnership with a confident rider. Quick-footed and notably good on the flat, he is a horse with real ability for a rider prepared to bring the best out of him. With Kannan above and Holstein power beneath, he has the raw material to aim high.
