CAPITAL QADE

Capital Qorland x Kannan GFE x Nabab de Reve

08.01.2022   |   Bay   |   Gelding   |   174cm

When the SA Derby is the goal, Qade is the horse. He is by Capital Qorland, currently jumping 1.40m with James Lowe and a son of the international jumper Corland out of the foundation mare Zinnia I. Corland enjoyed a successful career under W.J. van der Schans, taking the Benelux Championship in The Hague and placing internationally from Rotterdam to the Verona World Cup, and he is one of the last sons of the great foundation sire Cor de la Bryère. Zinnia I, by the celebrated Holstein stallion Cassini I, is the same mare who produced the 1.60m Capital Levubu, so Qorland is bred in the purple on both sides.

Qade’s dam, Capital Kalinda, adds more international quality into the mix. She is by Kannan, the Voltaire son and 2024 WBFSH Sire of the Year for jumping who sired Steve Guerdat’s Olympic champion Nino des Buissonnets. Kalinda’s own dam, Capital Madame, is by Nabab de Reve, the Quidam de Revel son who sired Olympic silver medallist Glock’s London.

Under saddle, Qade covers the ground with ease and has an outstanding engine behind him, creating excellent impulsion and impressive scope. He has the strength, scope and balance to excel at the highest level, exactly the raw material a Derby track demands, and is a genuine prospect for a rider with ambitions for the biggest classes.
