Francesca’s dam, Capital Delilah, is by the legend Capital Don Cumarco, the imported Belgian stallion who, under Nicole Horwood, became the first horse ever to win the South African Derby four times and took virtually every major title in the country, from Grands Prix to World Cup Qualifiers. Don Cumarco is by Cumano, on whom Jos Lansink won the 2006 World Championship in Aachen, and out of a Darco mare, so the quality runs deep. Delilah’s own dam, Conquest de Marquis, is by the Holstein stallion Concerto II, adding still more jumping blood.
