Bamako de Muze is the sire of Quintero’s dam, Baminka, and a genuine star. A son of the legendary Darco out of the exceptional broodmare Fragance de Chalus, herself the dam of Pénélope Leprevost’s Olympic stallion Mylord Carthago, Bamako de Muze jumped to five-star 1.60m level and has become a BWP Ambassador and a leading sire, responsible for the Olympic medallist Don Juan van de Donkhoeve among more than forty 1.50m to 1.70m performers. Baminka’s own dam, Zaviominka, is by Indoctro, the top-class Capitol I son, adding still more proven blood.

Under saddle, Quintero covers significant ground while staying balanced, and uses his hindquarters effectively for power, with plenty of push from behind matched to good technique. He is a scopey, correct prospect for a rider aiming high, with a pedigree that backs up the ambition.
