“A legacy of medals. A future of champions.”

Barnardini represents a fusion of some of the most successful bloodlines in modern showjumping history. With Baloubet du Rouet as his sire and a maternal line that includes Olympic genetics and multiple black-type performers, Barnardini is a powerful stallion prospect with a pedigree built for the podium.

Sire: Baloubet du Rouet

One of the most decorated showjumpers of all time, Baloubet du Rouet claimed multiple FEI World Cup titles and two Olympic medals with Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa, including individual gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics and team bronze in 2000. Revered for his explosive power, athleticism, and dominance at the top of the sport, Baloubet has gone on to sire generations of international winners.

As a breeding stallion, Baloubet du Rouet passes on brilliance, blood, and presence, traits that Barnardini reflects with striking clarity.

Damline

Barnardini’s damline is rich in high-performance genetics and black-type success:

  • Dam: Happy Days Z – A full sister to Olympic showjumper Hardrock JT Z, who competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics and the 2014 World Equestrian Games. Happy Days Z herself has produced six sporthorses, including four black-type performers.
  • 2nd Dam: Carte Blanche Z (Carthago × Ramiro Z) – One of the most successful broodmares in sport, with seven sporthorses and two black-type offspring to her name.
  • 3rd Dam: Optiebeurs Concern (by Ramiro Z) – The powerhouse foundation mare responsible for six sporthorses, five of whom achieved black-type status.

This maternal line has become synonymous with scope, longevity, and top-level achievement, providing a reliable pathway to performance.

Powerfully bred

Barnardini unites two of the sport’s most iconic stallions – Baloubet du Rouet and Carthago – with the legendary Ramiro Z anchoring the pedigree. His family includes multiple 1.60m competitors and Olympic representatives, making him the ideal choice for producing the next generation of international stars.

He offers elegance, expression, and the kind of elite sporthorse power that modern breeding demands.
